These r a few more of my favorite shots. They made this so easy...I hope all my clients r like this. LOL. I feel like I really captured their love in these shots. And Vanessa is VERY happy with the shots so I am happy. Enjoy!

E's 1st dental exam

I like to take my kids in as soon as they start sprouting lil teefies...sort of preventative measure to ensure great dental hygiene! Makin sure things r comin in right, clean etc. Unfortunately I wasn't into photography much when the girls were small or just didn't think of taking these shots...but here is Elias and his reaction. lol.

Couple session

Had my 1st ever couples session today and I am so excited about these images. MY GOSH! Vanessa is a friend of mine (the one teaching me to sew)...so I had a blast with her and her husband Jon today (Jon is one of Mario's co-workers). This is one I have titled "artist' fave" cause I LOVE IT! More to come V!!! Hope u love em as much as I think u will and as much as I do!!!

Hey everyone,

It has come to my attention that you've all be getting spammed...I didn't realize that when I changed my blog name that it would do that...(Stupid if u ask me, great way to lose potential bloggers). So a quick fix would be to unsubscribe and then come back and subscribe again with the new blog name. Again, I am sorry for the spam, I hope this gets resolved QUICKLY.

Logo

OK that's it I'm done...This was worse than naming a child...picking a biz name and then creating the logo...DIOS MIO! It wasn't even that it was hard to make the logo, I'm satisfied with the way it looks, it's just that it took so long to pick the name only to end up with my maiden name. lol. I rather have that than to have to file papers to use a fictitious name...And so this is it. Simple. Latina: my name...Vega is a blue star, hence the blue and the stars on either side. I might have to adjust colors though cause now I see as I print that the blue is too overpowering and u can't see the brown unless u look in close. I might switch the colors around, but I LOVE the font. It's similar to mine when I scribble real quick. So viola...now on to getting my license!

DON'T call child servies

I've been calling Elias my lil cockroach lately because he is EVERYWHERE all of the time in EVERYTHING...Like a NY cockroach! So here r a few pix...with many hazards involved. lol. I SWEAR my house is safer than this but it's been an off day. Thank goodness Mario can't read the blog from his location. lol.


Exhibit A: he climbed up on the base of the treadmill, not so bad except he's sitting next to an UNCOVERED OUTLET. (side bar-it's usually always covered but I had just finished charging my vid camera).


Exhibit B: I blocked the treadmill and what does he do? Climb and crawl right under the high chair I put to block him, but he thought it was funny so I snapped a pic while he was still (which wasn't for very long)


Exhibit C: warning label CLEARLY states keep away from children, but I'm a rebel, a rule breaker, no one's gonna tell me what I can and cannot let my child play with. (His sisters and I were were with him the whole time...he just LOVED the sound it made when he shook the plastic wildly.)


And a whole separate issue...I can't stand this show called Oobi on Noggin...ANNOYING! If u don't know it, it's a bunch of people who use their hands to talk ...so u never see anything more than elbows, arms and hands...I mean they dress it up and everything...hair, eye balls etc...so the girls pretend to be Oobie for a lil while to entertain him so that's y their hands r weird lookin in this pic...And on an even more whole other issue I'd like draw your attention to the pajama pants the girls r wearing...sewed by none other than MOI!!!! YEAH BABY!

This is it for now, I gotta get them in to their dentist appointment now.

Free photo shoot in the Honolulu area

This is for anyone in Hawaii (Honolulu area, Peal Harbor/Hickam area)I will be starting up a website at the end of this year which gives me plenty of time to build on an extensive portfolio. So I am writing you to ask for your help with this. It's simple all I need from you is to give me a date you are free for a photo session (it can be a couples session, Maternity, a children's session, a pet session etc.), once booked, I will need you to sign a model release form (the day of shooting) which gives me permission to use your photo's on my website and in my portfolio. That's it! There is no obligation to buy, but if you choose to do so I will have a price list readily available.

At the moment my Husband is deployed so if you choose to book on a weekend it's fine but there is a chance I will have my 3 children with me. I am a natural light photographer so the shoot will be on location, at your home or an outdoor place of mine or your choosing.

My schedule is as follows:
August 5th ( Tues) 9am-1pm
August 7th (Thurs) 9am-1pm
August 9th (Sat) 10am-??
August 10th (Sun) 1pm-5pm
August 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th (times to be determined)

September call me to schedule

Oct same as above.

For now I am scheduling one a day to assure you my undivided attention and time without seeming rushed to get to the next session.

Please come dressed and ready for the shoot. There is no dress code, I want you to be as comfortable as you can be, and most importantly I want you to have fun!

LOGO

K...So I'm in the process of creating a new "look", "Name", and "Logo"...But because I am SOOOOOO picky and wishy washy in the decision making process right now I don't want to pay for a logo to be made (just yet). So I downloaded a tutorial on making my own logo and I am having a blast...FUN! When u learn something new a whole new world opens up, I do appreciate the designers time now, cause this can be a tedious job. So I'm actually STILL deciding on a name...this is one of the names I'm thinking of going with. But we'll see. I have others in mind. I'll post them when I get a few made. Till then, let me know whatcha' think. ;)

My new venture

OK, so...I NEVER EVER thought I'd utter these words "I can sew". I have NEVER been a real girly girl, I don't do flowers, or frills or lace or none of that crap...but a while back I started inquiring about it (sewing) to a friend and I'm the type of person that when I get an idea in my head I pull out all the stops and jump in head 1st, so after getting answers to my questions I went out and bought me a sewing machine, and set it all up in my bedroom since I have this blank wall that was begging to be filled. I have to stop getting ideas in my head, I'm not rich.

So below u will see my new set up and my 1st ever project; I made some PJ's for the girls and they wont take em off. Now I"m getting requests from them...they want book bags, lunch bags, head bands, u name it, I have a list of things to make. Thank Goodness I have some friends here helping me learn as I go. Can't disappoint the girls. lol.

I am a creative person and so along with photography, acting and singing I can add sewing to the list of creative outlets!

Swing time

Not even sure y I hadn't done this b4, but Elias was put on a swing for the 1st time, and he had a ball! He loved it. I need to buy one to hang on my porch (less germs). lol. So I'm sharing his joy with all of u! Can u see it in his face?

My 1st newborn session

Yesterday I was able to "pay it forward" for a great woman I know. Brief history: Last yr I was in danger of giving birth all alone because they (they being the Air Force) were trying to send Mario away for 6 months before I was to give birth to our son and so this wonderful woman offered her services as a Doula FOR FREE should that have happened. We soon found out he would be staying and she was still willing to help us, and I am SO thankful to her for being there for us, she helped me so much during my labor, & I have no idea what I'm going to do with the next one and she's not around (I'll buy ur ticket! lol). Not to say Mario didn't help, I LOVE him in the delivery room he is just so awesome, loving and tender...and having them both there on my team was truly a blessing. Well anyway this wonderful woman just gave birth to her own son and I offered to take pictures of him and get prints made for free. It is the LEAST I can do for what she gave us the day our son was brought into this world. She even kept a journal for me of that day so that I would know what was going on while I was busy concentrating on not asking for drugs. lol. Anyway here r a few shots that I like from her shoot yesterday: I hope u like em as much as I do Lea!

My Hiking adventure

A few girls from my church and I went hiking the other day to the Makapu'u light house...I almost died twice and had to be air lifted to the top. OK it wasn't that bad, but MAN I'm not what I used to be. I'd like to take a moment to say I had to push a stroller up the whole way so THAT is y I was so short winded. I swore it was never going to end, and one of my friends kept lying "Almost there, it levels out after this hill", granted she did it for our own good, but I think I secretly wanted to push her off the cliff. (LOL, Love u Erika). No, but seriously it was beautiful once I got up there and well worth the near death experience!! God is amazing and all that he creates is beautiful. HOW ON EARTH people can look at his wonders and STILL not believe is beyond me and not mine to worry about! I can't wait to go on another hike. I want to tackle Diamond head, but I hear it's WAY harder and that I will actually die a few times and come back for water! CRAZY! But I am determined to do it b4 I leave this gorgeous Island next yr!! Anyway these r only a FEW shots from that day:
