Drivin the Island AGAIN (For my friend)

Drove the island again yesterday in an attempt to memorize every part of my 2nd home because time is nearing for me to go. While doing so I was on the phone with my friend and sister who used to live here as well, she asked me to do somethings for her, like enjoy the ocean, bury my feet in the sand etc...so this post is in honor of my friend and sister:

Hanauma Bay

Went there the other day with my girl Amy, and I'm so glad I did...I can't believe I have been here for as long as I have and had never gone, now I can't wait to go back.

To think this place was nothing but ash and lava millions of yrs ago and it turned into this...God made something so beautiful out of chaos and destruction, and we r able to enjoy the beauty today...Stop and check out the beauty around u!:

The only reason y these birds risked their lives and got close enough for E to touch was because he dropped his chip; see it? lol:


And there were fowl there too...this rooster had a loyal following, lol:


Um, my family has this weird habit of sniffing our food b4 we eat it, not sure y, and I see it actually runs blood deep because here he is...not eating but still sniffing everything, I love his curiosity...Amy and I were discussing the fact that as adults we look at things and move along, but children r so amazed, they stare and their lil brain processes info, and they store it away, I LOVE their natural curiosity:

25-52 He DOES love me

My love...I love how much this lil boy loves on me. Being the mother of a boy is something different. And I welcome it with open arms!!! I melt when he hugs me, or gives me kisses, I get this overwhelming sense of pride, joy, and love when he is in my arms. Like he's my greatest achievement, like I KNOW he is going to be somebody!

*Disclaimer* YES he has long hair, but he is a HE! lol. I'm working up the nerve to cut it, his dad is going to have to take him without me knowing to get it cut:

Wordless Wednesday

It's supposed to be wordless Wed today, but I can't stay quiet about this shoot. I had the opportunity to assist a photographer friend of mine on this shoot (Thanx again for the invite Cyn), it was my first wedding, I've been really wanting to try this because I know I can be good. I'm such a romantic and what better place to show that but through my pictures of weddings? So these r JUST a FEW of my all time fave's...I shot more than 1,000 pictures...but I wont take up too much of your time with all of them. lol. I can't wait to do more weddings, I have some great ideas floating around in my head. So without further adieu...

Been a while since I posted pix of my lil monkey boy, A.K.A. Mr. Handsome face...my lil ham is getting very used to the camera in his face now, he actually says "cheese" which I DID NOT teach him, I do not believe in saying that cause u do in fact look cheesy doing it. lol. But here he is saying it anyway:


I just love how he holds his pinky up while dipping the chip into the salsa, he holds his cup the same way! lol. So uppity:

Weeds and fields

Oddly enough I am not a fan of flowers, but weeds and fields of nothing r what call my attention:

I've been DYING to find a field here to get shots of for other projects and so here we r.:


Now THIS is something beautiful...Do these exist outside of Hawaii? lol. Might sound like a dumb question but I swear I have never seen tree's like this, green trees, yes. YELLOW?...um, nope. They POP next to the blue sky!:


I think I like their tenacity (weeds, that is). U can't get rid of them. lol. Sort of like me.:

It feels like summer

Well in paradise that's an understatement...but lately we've been having these hot days and it's been amazing, I'm not a fan of rain and so any day that the sun is shining makes me happy. I'm happy a lot these days! How can I not be? Are u tired of me talking about beautiful Hawaii? lol. OK, OK...here I am enjoying Hawaii three times over:

To be a kid again; not a care in the world, being that much closer to the earth, taken care of, to find joy in lil things...when do we as adults lose that?:

My view from the deck....

Went sailing the other day, as I've stated b4...and I decided to lay down and just watch the sky glide to the left as the boat was moving and I was at peace. I was overtaken by it, I had not a care in the world, all the problems I knew melted away on that boat...I looked up and saw God's beauty looking back down at me, and thought to myself "How could anyone NOT believe in God" after seeing the things I saw this day? Just amazing.

I was debating on whether or not I was going to post today...my external hard drive crashed and I lost EVERY PICTURE I have taken. Needless to say this weekend has not been an enjoyable one. But I need to just keep on movin...

Mediocre Monday! lol

Sailing with the Dolphins

I was very fortunate to go out yesterday and sail with the Dolphins which is y I didn't post a blog yesterday, hope u didn't miss me too much. lol...let's begin...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:


This was my view while lying on the deck tanning..,I looked straight up and was met by such beauty, beauty was all around me!:


I have never seen water so blue in my life I did NOTHING to this picture it's SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera):

They kept coming up to the boat swimming along side us and in front as if leading the boat I just wanted to reach out and hug them (And I DID try):


I have no comment for this one, I was in such awe the whole day:


I just LOVED the feel of the water spraying up on my legs, the sound of the water splashing was so soothing, the water was so cool:


We actually jumped into the ocean to play with them but the left by the time we finally got in. lol. I have pictures of us in the ocean but I have to get the pix developed so that'll be another post, this was a wonderful way to send me off...I am trying to soak up all of Hawaii b4 I leave my paradise. And the Dolphins popped up to say farewell:

Mothers Day

I had a really good day yesterday, I was spoiled so much...I even got the girls to play with my hair which I love. Some shots of the day

This means so much to me because when I leave here it's going to be so hard, I truly love Hawaii and this will be a great reminder of my time here.:
