Fleeting moments

I wish I could remember being a child, remember what it was like to think as one, living in a giant wonder world, amazed by the simplest things. Relaxing with not 1 care except if Kai Lan was going to be a repeat today. Sometimes I get lost watching him in action, he amazes me and makes me laugh so hard sometimes with no effort on his part. I savor these moments for I know they are fleeting.

These are the moments where emotions are all over the place, crying, laughing, sadness, joy, anticipation, confusion, contemplating breaking his leg so he can't go again etc.

He helped me with this one although he is not deploying for another yr, I wanted to capture this moment because it's significant. It's what many of us military wives go through time and time again, and sometimes twice in one year. It really does take a special type of woman to be able to endure what the military puts us through. When next year comes and I can no longer pick up the phone to talk to him or turn around and see his face I will lean on the strength my God has given me, with the hope that he will return safely.

Summers almost over, YES!

My lil one in the pool. I think this is the best summer my kids have had in a long time. Home with family, pools, beaches, outings. I know they are happy and so am I. But I can't wait for school to start! I'm counting down!! By now they would have been back to school in Hawaii but school here doesn't start til the 24th! SOON BABY! I love my kids, they r a great help with the baby, but it is TIME! Looking forward to a lil quiet time!

I'm not sure I like the processing on this one, but I wanted to post anyway. My kids were used to being at the beach a lot and when we moved here I hadn't taken them, so this picture makes me laugh because it's as if she is running screaming "BEEEEACH! YAY, FINALLY, AHHHHHHH!"

Son of sand

He is so happy because he ate sand. I'll never understand it. I love his face so much. He is at a stage right now that I am finding terribly difficult. He is approaching two so I'm sure everyone will say "terrible twos", but it's a combination of that and being a boy, and being curious. He is too quick for me and so I end up getting in trouble along with him for the damage he inflicts because I don't stop him on time. I'll get it down, I'm sure. Til then I think I'll just tie his lil hands behind his back. lol.

Beach Birds

Hawaii opened my eyes to all things beautiful, and all things nature. So although this is in no way Hawaii, I was able to keep an open mind and enjoy the sites, smell and sounds of the beach, and God's creatures too. I was glad I was able to get this shot because there were people walking all over the place and so I had to wait for them to pass, or get out of the shot, or not spook the birds b4 I could take the picture, thank Goodness I am patient (when it comes to Photography, lol). You have to be in order to get "thee" shot.

Night time dip

Ah the joys of having your own pool...My dad decided to take a dip last night and invited the kids since I didn't let them go during the day (I didn't feel like sitting out there in the heat and have my son beg me to get in, therefore making ME get in...Chlorine messes up a girls hair). They had a blast and E even opened up a lil more to my dad (he's so me when it comes to meeting people and warming up to them). Anywho a few shots from this isolated event, Oh did I mention he has lights in the pool that change color? So cool, those blobs are the girls:

And then afterwards, my dad decided to have a lil one on one time with the girls and had no idea what he was in for...they can TALK! He taught them to haggle their allowance. But I was raised by the best, IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!

Lola

I am in no way an animal photographer but when lil Lola gets around me I can't help but want to capture that cute lil face!!! She is the tiniest dog I have ever seen!!! I love this dog. She belongs to my cousin Michelle, I hope she goes out of town by the time I get my house so I can dog sit her!!

The boys

I'm so happy that these two will be growing up together!! I grew up around my cousins all my life and I have always wanted the same for my kids. Now that I am back home this will be accomplished. Although they still need to warm up to each other. lol. Jonah is not happy about his cousin E huggin on him. He'll get used to it. E is so loving, he is always walking up to J and kissing him. Here's to growing up with family, with a friend!
