A small blessing with big impact
Not sure if anyone knows this but I am prior military I served only a few short years before I realized I had a problem with authority (lol). Anyway...today I had lunch with my friend "peaches", she and I went through basic training and tech school together. Not one day went by that we weren't cracking up laughing...We had a blast in both places and laughing is what got us through, our relationship is still the same today (13 yrs later). Since we haven't seen each other in years I was glad to find out she still lived here. We got together today for lunch at the Olive Garden (Don't be jealous my Hawaii people ;)) and when we walked in a woman sitting at a table we passed smiled and commented on how cute E was, I said thank you, and we sat down at the table next to her. As we were sitting down I was making a comment to my friend "peaches" about how I will NEVER get used to calling her by her 1st name because in the military we go by last names; well the woman overheard us and asked if we were military, I explained that I used to be but that "peaches" was still serving, she thanked us for our sacrifice and proceeded to tell us that her daughter was in too. We continued on to our separate tables and enjoyed our time of reminiscing and laughing...all of a sudden the woman rolled her chair over to our table, apologized for interrupting and asked us what branch we were in. We told her AIR FORCE and we continued to have a brief convo about her daughter being in the ARMY and her fears because her daughter is deployed at the moment, we told her not to worry and that we'd be praying for her daughter. She thanked us and went back to her table. We continued on with our meals then I got up to take my son to the bathroom and when I got back the woman was gone. After a while the waitress came over and said "The woman that was sitting at that table took care of your bill and left you a note"...At the same time "Peaches" and I said "WHAT?!" and proceeded to read the note; it read:
I got so choked up, I couldn't believe she did that and I was so sad that I couldn't thank her. SO if by some miracle she happens upon my blog I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart...it was an honor for me to serve, and I know peaches feels the same. We were truly touched by this gesture and you will be in our prayers as well as your daughter! May God bless and keep you and yours safe!
Happy Monday all!!

This is what happens when you ask your daughters to keep an eye on your son as you take a quick shower.

31 of 52 Signing on the dotted line
I seriously need to get back into my 52 weeks project and I will, but until then here is a lame pic of me signing the documents which in turn made me a home owner. Am I supposed to feel different? I don't. I still feel like I'm renting the place. Maybe it will kick in soon. Maybe because I'm treating it as such because I know I wont be here long just like military living. I think maybe when I make that 1st mortgage payment it's going to kick in BIG time. I promise to make next Friday's post way more interesting, I already have a few ideas in my head:

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought I'd throw this one in too, so that weeks from now I'm not still posting about signing on the house. lol. This is the last pic from that day, Look we're grown ups!:

Have a great weekend!

Curiosity
Of course my child likes the one thing I can't stand. It's so fitting. God truly has a sense of humor. I'm trying my best not to show him my fear so he can keep on exploring the way he does. It's SO HARD THOUGH!!! I cringe and shudder at the thought of something flying near me or hearing it buzz by my ear...AHHHHHHHH! I just got chills and my hairs are standing up, let me stop torturing myself!! He's looking at those annoying love bugs...I'm anxious for them to die off already, they are truly worse than flies!:

Happy Saturday

Lesson learned
E is learning to feed himself. Truth is he's late with this one but it's my fault I have been scared to let him try for fear of my walls getting dirty and my floors, but lately I have had too much stress on my plate to let this bother me anymore so I let him feed himself. WHOA! Good news is his face and hands were the only place it got before I scooped him up and planted him in the tub! I've created a monster now...all he wants to do is feed himself every chance he gets. My big boy! How can I say no to those eyes? Could you?

Happy Thursday, IT'S ALMOST FRIDAY!!!!!

My protégé took this
My eldest daughter has always shown that she has an artistic side to her and so it didn't surprise me when she wanted to pick up the camera as well. She took this a few weeks back and I love the composition and the lil boy posing in it!! I might have to help her come up with a name and a logo or hire her as an assistant. lol.

Happy Tuesday!

Closing Day
A quick snap I got of M signing his life away on closing day for the house. I got some shots of the house b4 the paint I just have to sort through them so be patient with me...I don't have many cause it just got too hectic and I barely took the camera out (shame on me), but I have some.

Happy Monday!

Making this house a home
As I said in the last post, we bought a house. We did what we could to spruce it up and call it home and even Elias took part in this...he want's to be just like his father, I love this picture. I am planning on buying him a toy tool chest for Christmas!:

Little does he know this picture right here is prophecy, this IS what he will be doing when he's old enough. lol.:

Happy Sunday!!!

And I'm back...
I am only posting 2 pictures right now because to be quite honest I feel a bit overwhelmed with the internet right now, I've been gone for so long that I'm getting anxiety over all the pictures I need to post. So please bare with me...I'm a bit emotional, which is ODD, but I've been gone from a medium that I love, that keeps me in touch with my friends, family, clients etc. and that allows me to share my love of photography so I'm full of joy and at the same time I am scared to jump back in. Crazy talk.
1st off, we bought a new house. That alone was an emotional roller coaster, and although I feel we settled due to time constraints I am blessed that we found something that will suit us just fine for at least 4 years. E, on the other hand is having a hard time adjusting. He will NOT sleep in his own room, he keeps crying, screaming and walking over to my room. Finally I told him "NO!" and shut his door, surprised that he listened I went to check on him and this was why he stayed quiet:

Bath time is a special time M has and has had with each of his kids...they LOVE him, and he is so patient with them where as I want to yell "Stop crying it's only water for goodness sake!!!"...And since he is living away from us right now I like to grab all the moments he shares with them and pay special attention to each like this one:

I love my lil shower model. lol.
It is a great day because God made it and because I HAVE INTERNET!!!! I have missed u all!!!

1st day of school
It's been a week but I have no internet so I have to wait til I get free time to come to my parents place to post. Anyway these r the girls on their 1st day back to school, in a new school, in a new place, and their VERY 1st time on a bus. They were super stoked about it. I was weary. But the school is only 7 minutes away so that helped calm my nerves.
My 4th and 5th graders:

Gettin' on the bus:

Happy Thursday MY STUFF COMES IN TOMORROW FROM HAWAII!!! WOO HOO! I MISS MY COMPUTER!
