My VERY GOOD friend Maria is here with me for a month (this is really going to help time fly by)...And she brought with her the BEST thing made in Puerto Rico ONLY found in Ponce (where I lived once)...these delicious fruits r called QUENEPAS sounds exactly how they r spelled. I can't even tell u how exciting this is. lol. I haven't had these since I lived there when I was 11. U crack open the soft shell and there is this seed that has this SWEET tasting "fur" for lack of a better term, that u suck clean off the seed. OMG I'm in heaven...Her wonderful father packed me some and God watched over my snacks because customs didn't take em away!!! OH MY MY!!!! If u could only taste these!!! U'd understand my joy!!!! This shot is SOOC, I had to hurry and post about this so I could go back and eat. OK back to my snack (at 10:27pm)...YUMMO!!!!

Destruct much?
So I hear Elias talking to himself around 8am this morning, and he was so content so I didn't want to stir things up, and so I left him in his crib chatting it up with Jesus. I finally got up and went into my bathroom and with the water full blast I could no longer hear him, which is when it must have happened. "RIIIIIIP". I went into his room to get him dressed for Church and this is what I found:
That type of border is the type u wet and stick on, but since this is military housing (code for: CHEAP), I didn't want to ruin their walls and have to pay in the end because they went the cheap route with this thing they pass off as a wall; I stapled the border all around the wall which in turn made it much easier for lil man to lift, grab and tear. Oh but he thought it was the greatest thing. He was smiling at us when we walked in. lol. I might as well take it all down b4 he continues to rip it off the wall. Now I have to go in and take the staples out too. I love my son!

My kids
Ilana took a "job" at school. She is what they call a JPO (Junior Patrol Officer)...cute...in other words a glorified crossing guard. She told me she wanted to do this and I was impressed because growing up u wouldn't catch me doing that (Not in NY). But she was excited. And so I said yes.
Got her here "on the job" and of course her sister had to test it out...so she crossed just to see Ilana put the sign out.
And we couldn't leave Elias out. My baby boy is going to be walking soon, he's already standing and trying to take steps. I tried to hold him off till his dad got home but he seems determined to get this. He's only 9 months old, my girls didn't walk till after their 1st b-day. So needless to say he will be walking to his dad when it's time to get him at the airport in Oct. Or maybe running by then at this rate.
And this one...Oh this face. I'm telling u he is going to drive me insane with those eyes. Funny because when we had the 4D ultrasound done, I was worried because I saw he had my HUGE eyes. But he wears em well. I love his lil finger, I swear he knows how to pose now, as soon as he sees the camera BAM he's all smiles.

Oh this lil face
I try my best to walk away, but I can't...he catches up (QUICK) and looks up at me with those BIG brown eyes and I melt like buttah!! Yup I said buttah!! I don't want to spoil him, he is going through separation anxiety, or wait is that me? Either way I have to stop looking at those eyes. I'm in love with this lil boy! Makes me miss my husband even more. Hurry home babe u have to see this lil man we created together, in action.

I'm still up...you?
*disclaimer* These pix r SOOC (Straight out Of the Camera) and done in the dark with nothing but the flash that came with my camera. Not too shabby...Yay for Canon.
So while they are doing this...
...
...
I am doing this...
I'm not even complaining...this is my alone time...I should be sleeping, but who has time for sleep when u can be doing more productive things like laundry, dishes, and editing pictures, and other things to get your business up and running. As I've heard said b4, "Plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead"...lol. MAN, I can't wait for the hubby to get back home...
Night night!

The Katz Photo Shoot
I had a blast with these guys right here. So much so that I spent most of my time talking rather than capturing them. But I did take a break from talking to take some good shots of them...Here r just 4...then we went to eat. My other favorite thing to do besides talk.
I call this one "Daddy SQUISH" lol. I just LOVE when babies grab faces like this. Their learning to control movement and what better way than to grab the face closest to them. His name is Wayne and her name is Samara. (Love the name).
This is their oldest daughter Hanna...This lil girl right here is a CHARACTER! She is so full of life, she is going to be keeping her parents on their toes for sure, starting now and not ending till she gets married. LOL.
Hanna again, she found a bunch of leaves and just started walking in circles...I just loved letting her be and just catching her in her moment, she was fun to photograph!
And here is mom (Debbie) with her baby girl Samara.
Enjoy guys!!

Elias Clapping
SO Elias clapped today for the 1st time and it's a BIG deal for me. lol. I'm a sucker for this boy. Video quality is HORRIBLE because I used my cell phone...but u can still see. lol. Enjoy mom!
Cup of Joe
I did a search on that term, because I normally don't like to use a word or term unless I am fully aware of it's meaning...but it seems the world is as lost as I am on this one...This is pretty much all I got: "Joe" is related to either the use of Joe as the common man (coffee is the common man's drink) or as a derivative of Java."
And so here is my cup of Latina cause this is NOT your average cup of coffee, I spruce mine up a bit. Mmmmmmmmmmmm wanna lil coffee with ur creamer? Cafecito!!!
Ah and or course I couldn't end it there, here is my lil man who keeps mommy company while his sisters r at school and his dad is yet again deployed. He's peeking over the gate watching mommy make her cup o' joe. Cutie pie.

New logo...FINALLY
OK I SWEAR this is the LAST TIME...(for now) that I will create a new logo...lol. This is just like my life, I can NEVER decide on anything and stick with it...But I'm sticking with Photography because it's a gift God blessed me with and I wont take this for granted, not to mention I LOVE IT! I really couldn't do much because I didn't have my logo...this is the ONLY one that made me smile when I was done, and made me satisfied. The others were always marked in my head as temporary. I really didn't feel them like I do this one. YAY! Now that this is FINALLY over, I can get my business cards printed and everything else. WOO HOO! Creativity can be such a burden sometimes. LOL!

That takes care of that
OK to all my readers...I let Google know about this lil spam problem, so I pray they remedy this real soon. I'll keep checking back and hounding them...It should be handled quick though so as soon as it is I will let u all know that u don't have to abandon me because "I'm" spamming u...UGH!
I'm in the middle of PPing some new pix from a shoot I had the other day of a lil boy named "psssssst"...that's our secret code...that's how I call him and that's how he responds. I think we bonded over that sound.
Till then enjoy the music!! I'll even be updating that too.

It's me again
I know, I already posted, but I can't help myself...I can't tell u how much I LOVE Photography. I see beauty in everything now, and in everyone...photography is eye opening. I see things differently...So...never wanting to miss a great photo op, I bring my camera everywhere even as I walked 3 minutes to my girls school to pick them up! I was sitting at the bottom of some stairs just watching parents arrive to get their kids, and I just kept snapping away! Got these shots.
This is some school bokeh...well not much, but it's there.
This one is cool...every day after school they play revalie (I think that's how u spell it)...in honor of our military...a reminder of those we lost...and although I should have been doing the same, I couldn't pass up the pic of this woman standing at attention...she is either prior military as I am or she takes after her husband, because as a civilian all u need to do is stand with ur hand over ur heart, but there she stood, PROUD!
This one is cute...They were so anxious to see their child that they were interrupting the class by peaking in. They have done this every day since school started...so I brought my trusty cam today...and sure enough...
Now THIS ONE I LOVE...I call it..."call to duty"...he's not only a military man, he is also a father, and it's rare that they get the chance to take off from work just to pick up their kids...Mario rarely EVER gets to do this...but I love it. He's in uniform, so I just imagine that after he brings em wherever he is going to bring em he will bend down, kiss them on their foreheads and bid them well as he heads off to work again.
Ok that's it (for now)...we'll see what happens tomorrow. Heh heh!

Playing catch up...
I've had these pix in my camera for a while, but I've been too lazy to sit down and pp. I swear Photo shop takes FOREVER to save files for the web!!! I hate this part which always just makes me put it off as I have, but I needed to clean the cards up and get em ready for some shoots I have later on this week...so here they r (4 out of like 400, lol)
Schools back in session (YAY FOR HAWAII'S ALL YR ROUND SCHOOL!) Got some shots of the girls on their 1st day back with their new home made messenger bags...a friend of mine makes and sells bags......and so I attempted to make something unique for my girls and, well...I didn't want them going to school with lop sided bags and a lil gangsta lean making it look like it was straight...so I had Vanessa finish em off. lol. The girls LOVE em. And I LOVE that there is no other bag out there like theirs (at least not in their school)!
Now here we have My lil munchkin...I put him on the trampoline with his sisters yesterday and he had a BLAST! He was all giggles, even when they jumped too close and made him rise in the air...he loved it. He's such a boy. I just love him to life!!! I hate that his dad is missing so much.
I let him crawl in the grass...at 1st he was stiff, wouldn't move an inch, the grass felt odd to him, then he would put his hand down a lil to test it out and b4 I knew it I had the girls running to get him b4 he grabbed onto a thorny bush...he had fun...and I call this one "explore with me"...his sisters r so protective, I love it. They stood by his side as he continued to explore the side of the house.
Mariel...Lord help me with Mariel...this girl has got some major STAY STILL issues, as in she CAN'T stay still. This is not only on the trampoline...she stands on her head even in the house...on the floor, on the couch, on her bed...she is FOREVER on her head. I signed her up for soccer so hopefully she can spend some of that energy, and if that doesn't work, it's off to gymnastics for her.
And so this is it for today...off to go get some more shots of something or another!
ENjoy ur day (or what's left of it for my mainlanders)
