So, I've been talking about this to a few people and I thought I'd post some pictures so u'd all believe me. My girls have to be the messiest girls around. The funny thing is these pictures r not even bad, they were taken on day 2, not sure y I didn't think to take pix on day 1...so by this time we had already filled 2 large 30 gallon bags with trash from their room: dolls with no feet or heads/naked dolls/papers/book covers with no books in sight/clothes/candy (oh yeah I flipped my lid on that one), u name it, it was in their room. I talked to my sister the other day and she was telling me about what she does with my niece...and I CANNOT believe I didn't think of this sooner. She makes her ask permission to touch ANYTHING in her room (LUV IT!) So I could not WAIT to get started, which was perfect timing because they r on punishment, and kept complaining about boredom so I gave them the cure: CLEAN YOUR ROOM! I helped of course cause had I not it would have taken longer than 2 days. And still 2 days is RIDICULOUS, I THINK. So now the rule is they have to ask for anything and everything, to play, to watch, to listen, I'm even thinking about making them ask to pee...OK, no I'm not. I know I'm going to be annoyed from time to time with them asking for every lil thing but I'm going to have to stick to my guns on this. Sux cause they r STILL on punishment so I have to wait till Wed, when they r free and able to ask me to play with their own toys! Muwahahaha! So here it is:
BEFORE:
AFTER:
AH it feels so good to walk into their room now, I'm not tripping over toys or slipping on papers and almost breaking my neck...it's so cute too as if I have two lil tweens in my house, their room is so girly (not like me at all). What makes me happy is that it will stay this way for a LONG time because I refuse to give them permission to play with anything. JOKING! But it WILL stay this way, they did NOT like being bored.
Now to get them to do the chores without me asking them!!
Baby steps, I know!

I cannot believe that was a room in your house! Why, is it that we have such ISSUES with cleanliness, yet our kids have NOT picked up on that aspect yet??? I love the look of a freshly cleaned room....and you can tell it was just cleaned...I hope this new adventure is successful and you arent too annoyed in the end...Now im off to get Gavins room that way again!
