Well my husband called me last night around 6 or so to tell me he was in pain and that we might need to go to the emergency room, a place any sane person dreads!! My husband works construction and so he has bad knees, but the other day he slipped and shifted his weight on his knees so his hips tried to compensate and so he was in MAJOR pain...so he got home around 9 something, we got the kids ready for a fun filled night (note the sarcasm). We got there around 10. Sat in the room and began our wait:
As soon as we sat down my baby went to sleep, he knew we were in for a LONG night:
Few minutes later the kids got sleepy I mean it was 10pm:
Not sure how they slept because with these chairs I think they were trying to let us know they didn't want is there long...well in that case HURRY UP AND CALL OUR NAME:
After a while I got hungry and said "screw weight watchers"...I started my long trek down the hall to what passed as sustenance:
So by this time (12:09am for those who can't read military time) they still hadn't called us back:
So my honey continued to sleep while I documented the night/morning:
And sleep...:
Until FINALLY they called him around 3am...so I took the kids to the car to wait and sleep...no fun because the baby likes to move as he sleeps and being strapped in was not working, but we found a way to fall sleep anyway...:
And then it happened, the end that was so far away finally came and we were outta there...Don't even remember the drive home but we got here safe and sound to sleep for 3 hours because Elias woke up at 8...Lord help me I am tired.
(That's A.M.)
All this to find out that my poor man has arthritis in his hips so after shooting him up with loads of drugs that didn't work he STILL woke up to go to work at 9. I ask that u all please pray for him. He is such a good worker that he will sacrifice himself to get the job done, and they take advantage of that. I just pray for healing and for doors to open for us to be stationed at home in time for his retirement in 4 yrs.
Thanx for taking this trip with me, I'm going to take a shower...and HOPEFULLY get some semblance of sleep.

oh wow, and ouch! ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteI will keep Mario's health in my thoughts. Although I can dread the experience, I totally enjoyed going on the ER adventure with you. You took such a horrible situation and turned it into an exploration...I admire you for that..I guess thats what photography is all about. My dad has done construction a majority of his life and I remember the fall on the concrete which led to hip problems...Never stopped my dad, I know it wont stop Mario. You are all very strong and will conquer this minor set back
ReplyDeleteLuv you guys,
Channy
