Oh boy, who would have thought? Anyone who knows me knows that I am NOT a fan of flowers, I think they r pretty, but they stink, and I never understood the whole concept of picking them (in essence killing them) and handing them over to someone who is themselves dying, or for whatever other reason there is to give flowers. So I admire them while they r still attached to a tree or bush, and can stand far enough back not to have to smell them.
I started a project where people will ask me a question and I will answer with a picture...someone asked if I had ever seen a papaya blossom and I thought to myself "Is that a drink?"...come to find out it's a lil flower that grows on the papaya tree, so my answer was initially no until she let me come to her house the get the picture! I caught some others too:
This is the papaya blossom:
I have no idea what this one is, maybe someone can tell me:
I forget the name of this one:
And this cute lil thing grows in my grass, no idea what it is, but it's cute:
Dedicated to all those whom I love, who love flowers!
HAPPY Tuesday!

Love following your blog! These are fantastic with the texture.
ReplyDeleteThe red one looks like hibiscus. The bottom one looks like an ohia blossom. Could be Lehua (a kind of ohia). Picking it is said to bring rain. Love following your photo blog.
